PAPER CAKE TRAIL

This card entry is for 2 challenges.  The color challenge is from Color Throw Down & the sketch challenge is from retro sketches . I began my creation on a piece of Basic Grey cardstock.  The first layer is Regal Rose and the second layer is an embossed piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The stamped images are from the Up, Up & Away stamp set, and are matted onto Kiwi Kiss.  I used Regal Rose, Kiwi Kiss & Basic Black stamp pads.  The 'birthday wishes' sentiment is from the So Happy for You stamp set, that has been matted onto some Regal Rose patterened paper.   Here is the sketch and color combo:     Thank you for stopping by! This is my entry for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I began my creation an a piece of Regal Rose cardstock.  The first layer is Whisper White followed by some pretty patterned paper and more Regal Rose.  I stamped the image using the new 'Summer Smooches' stamp set.  I used my markers in Green Galore, Regal Rose and Basic Black. This is my entry for the SUO Challenges . I began my creation with a 4 1/4" x 5 1/5" piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock.  The first layer is Certainly Celery (4" x 5 1/4").  The second layer is Whisper White (3 3/4" x 5")  that has been textured with an embossing folder.  The image comes from the 'Easter Blossoms' stamp set.  I used my markers in Daffodil Delight, Certainly Celery, Melon Mambo and Tempting Turquoise.  This mats was then set onto a piece of Melon Mambo cardstock.  The flowers were coloured using Melon Mambo & come from the 'Punch Potpourri' stamp set . Today I am entering my card in two different challenges.  I always like to pick a color challenge with a sketch challenge. I chose the color combo from  Colour Q #130 and the sketch from  Just-Add-Ink . I love this new stamp set Summer Smooches, that will be available April 01-30.  It's super cute a quite versatile. I began my creation a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" piece of Tempting Turquoise cardstock.  The first layer is Certainly Celery and measures 4" x 5 1/4".  The second layer is an embossed piece of Whisper White cardstock and measures 3 3/4" x 5".  I stamped the tulips using Melon Mambo, and the other image using Tempting Turquoise, Certainly Celery and Daffodil delight.    This is my entry for the  Mojo Monday   sketch challenge. I began my creation on a 5" x 5" piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  The middle Burgandy panel measures  1 3/4" x 4 3/4", the 2 outer panels measure 1 3/8" x 4 3/4".  I stamped the sandpaper background using Antique Linen ink and the sentiment using Blue Jeans ink on Very Vanilla cardstock (4" x 2 3/4").  For the finishing touches, I used Always Artichoke seam binding and Pink organza ribbon, followed with a cupcake sticker. After I had posted this card, I realized I had forgotten to add in a few of the items below.  I used the stamp set 'Field Flowers" from Stampin' Up!.  The lace and rhinestone came from my local craft store. This is my entry for the Friday Mashup! challenge. This weeks challenge was the paper quilting technique, and I have never before done this.  I have to say that it can take quite sometime depending on how elaborate you want to get. I began my creation with a piece of Cream color cardstock.  I then layered it with some Brown, a Cream color lace border mat, followed my my quilted pattern.  I have finished this card off with a Tinkerbell adhesive as well as a botanical flower and butterfly.
