Mojo Monday 281/Mixed Bunch

Good day all!  Today is my last of my 3 evenings with call at the hospital.  We are at a total of 191 patients with a bed capacity of 140.  Believe me when I tell you it becomes MASH like conditions.  Patients in hallways separated by walls of sheets.  But, they have a place to sleep, food to eat and medication to get better. Today's card was inspired by this weeks challenge over at the Mojo Monday blogspot.  I used the mixed bunch stamp set along with the colours Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise and Pumpkin Pie.   Have a great day everyone, until next time! The Color Throwdown # 227/Thinking of You

Today's shabby style card was made using this weeks color challenge over at Color Throwdown blog. The layout came from a pretty card I saw on Pinterest. For this card I used a variety of patterned papers and textures.  I used Co-ordinations Pink Paper for my base.  I really love this paper because you can sand it for a shabbier look.  I used some Cottage Wall from SU, Magnolia and Glitz.  I of course finished it of with a few stamps and embellishments. Thank you for stopping by! Alyson

Warm Wishes - CR84FN - 67

Today's card was created using the Colour Challenge over at CR84FN.   I began by mating a panel of plum coloured damask paper with Whisper White, then zigzag stitched around the edges.  Then, I die cut a label from light plum patterned paper and adhered it slightly to the right of the stitched panel.  I used my Cricut to cut out the Brushed Gold heart and adhered that to the panel.  Pretty White lace trim is glued to the left of the panel and Sandstone seam binding is wrapped around the panel to the right of the lace trim.  To the bow I added a Plum coloured button with Rustic Kraft twine and a die cut tag with a 'Warm Wishes' sentiment.  I die cut a snowflake from White textured paper adding a pearl and affixed that to the Gold heart.  Finally, I mounted the entire panel onto a Crumb Cake cardstock base.   Thank you for stopping by! Dynamic Duos Monochromatic Challenge #13

Just stopping by really quick before heading off to work.  I'm on day 2 of a long stretch of 5 evenings with call.  It could go either way, I will just have to take it one day at a time. Today's card was inspired by the colour challenge over at Dynamic Duos along with a sketch from Mary Fish. I will be back soon with all the details!

'Sew Crafty'

Today's card was inspired by the inspiration photo over at The Shabby Tea Room. I could sure use a craft space like this!  I began on a piece of White cardstock.  To this I added 2 different patterned paper panels and stitched the outer edge.  To the rubber stamped flower I added a shabby pink fabric flower and green leaves.  The ribbon, twine and sentiment add a nice finish to this happy card. Thank you for stopping by! Alyson
