PAPER CAKE TRAIL

Today's card was made using this week's  Sunday Stamps (actually it runs for 2 weeks) sketch challenge. Although this sketch appears like an easy one, sometimes these are the hardest for me.  I get lost with all that white space.   However, I bought a new stamp set from Stampenous and this daisy bunch works perfectly for a sketch like this. I used Whisper White and Melon Mambo cardstock, along with my Old Olive, Melon Mambo and Crumb Cake Blendabilties.  I topped it off with a fitting sentiment and Turquoise buttons. For today's Mojo Monday sketch challenge , I used the Secret Garden stamp set and matching framelits dies (Spring mini catalogue), along with Stamps and dies from Papertry Ink. Supplies Used: Paper: Very Vanilla, Pool Party, Cottage Wall, Swe et Shop, other various patterned papers. Good day all!  Today is my last of my 3 evenings with call at the hospital.  We are at a total of 191 patients with a bed capacity of 140.  Believe me when I tell you it becomes MASH like conditions.  Patients in hallways separated by walls of sheets.  But, they have a place to sleep, food to eat and medication to get better. Today's card was inspired by this weeks challenge over at the Mojo Monday blogspot.  I used the mixed bunch stamp set along with the colours Old Olive, Tempting Turquoise and Pumpkin Pie.   Have a great day everyone, until next time! Today's shabby style card was made using this weeks color challenge over at Color Throwdown blog. The layout came from a pretty card I saw on Pinterest. For this card I used a variety of patterned papers and textures.  I used Co-ordinations Pink Paper for my base.  I really love this paper because you can sand it for a shabbier look.  I used some Cottage Wall from SU, Magnolia and Glitz.  I of course finished it of with a few stamps and embellishments.  Good morning, here is another card for the Friday Mashup challenge.   For this challenge, I chose to mash it up with leaves an d a Thank You sentiment .   I began on Old Olive and adhered a Whisper White and Bravo Burgundy mat. To this I added some glittery leaves, pretty polka dot coordinating organza ribbon and an Old Olive button. So here is the  "Mashup"  Challenge: Make a project with  "Leaves " . Or Make a project saying  "Thank You " . Or  "Mash it Up"  and create a  "Thank You project with Leaves " .

Today's card was inspired by two challenges.  The colour challenge over at the play date cafe along with the sketch challenge over at mojo monday. Good day peeps.  My days are all messed up, I seem to think it's Saturday.  That's what happens when you do shift work.  Today's card was inspired by the colour challenge over at create with Connie and Mary.    I began on some Whisper White, then adhered some Pool Party patterned paper.  To this I machine stitched 3 panels in Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and So Saffron patterned paper.  To finish it off I added a punched butterfly, Rustic twine, Yellow stick pin and Cherry button. Oh my goodness, this was my first attempt at an MDS card.  It took me hours to figure out what the heck to do.  I don't find the tutorials too terribly helpful, there was very little on you tube.  But, I gained tons of knowledge with this I tell ya. This sketch is from the freshly made sketches blogspot.   I began on Crumb Cake, with a Whisper White layer.  I used a pattern from the Attic Bouquet paper set.  The brush stamp is from  Friends 24/7. These are my entries for the retro sketches challenge. I began my creation with a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  I layered it with a piece of patterned paper I picked up from Michaels.  The image was stamped on Very Vanilla, using my markers in Crumb Cake, Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and Old Olive.  This is finished off with a scalloped ribbon border in Crumb Cake, and Pink rhinestones.  This card has been created on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. A handmade purple embossed paper mat has been attached to the card base. On this, I have added a textured pink dotted scallop ribbon border, along with a gorgeous vintage, shabby style illustration.
