PAPER CAKE TRAIL

Today's ca rd was created using the duo colour cha llenge over at The Dynamic Duos. I began with a Marina Mist mat and ran it through my Big Shot using a snowflake embossing folder.   To th is I affixed two patterned paper mats that were cut into flags .  Aft er stamping and die cutting the mason jar, I sponged the glitter snowflakes with Marina Mist ink and adhered them to the jar, then onto the mat.  A sentiment, button an d twine were added for some fin ishing touches a nd  a dhered t o a Marina Mist cardstock base. This is my entry for the Pals Paper Arts  sketch challenge. I began my creation with a piece of Mellow Moss cardstock, followed by 2 beautiful pieces of patterned paper cardstock from MME.  I stamped my image (wings of friendship) on Whisper White cardstock using my markers in Marina Mist, Pear Pizazz and Lavender Lace.  I finished off my card with Lilac seam binding and a pretty Purple rhinestone. Its a beautiful Sunday morning.  I woke up, had a cup of coffee, sat down at my desk, and looked out my office window at the beautifully calm Okanagan Lake .     That my friends, is how I find all of my inspiration. My card today is for the Friday Mashup challenge.  I chose to try the faux mother of pearl technique.  I found many tutuorials on you tube showing this technique.  I began my creation with a 5 1/2" x 4 1/4" piece of Bashful Blue cardstock.  I then ran a piece of the same cardstock through my bigshot, using the tulip border embossing folder.  The designer patterned paper is from Recollections.  The stamped image was created using the lovely Asian Artistry stamp set.  I colored directly onto the stamp using my markers in Pear Pizazz, Marina Mist & London Fog.  Thank you for stopping by! This is my entry for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. Now that I have found this stamp set, I can't seem to put it down.  I just love how it coordinates with this Recollections patterned paper. I began with a Bashful card base, followed by a Polka Dot embossed piece of Bashful Blue.  As mentioned above the patterned paper is from the Recollection line.  The stamp is 'Asian Artistry' from Stampin' Up!.  I used my markers in Pear Pizazz and Marina Mist. This is my entry for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I pulled out and dusted off a stamp set that I had forgotten about.   Asian Artisty from Stampin' Up!, is just beautiful.  I began with a Blue linen textured cardstock base, followed by Going Gray and 2 different designs of patterned paper from Recollections.   I stamped my images onto Whisper White, using Pear Pizazz, Marina Mist and Going Gray markers.  For the finishing touches I used some lace, ribbon, glitter and rhinestones. This is my entry for the Colourq challenge. All items are Stampin' Up! I started with some textured Sahara cardstock.  I layered a piece of Night of Navy cardstock onto the base, followed by a panel of Whisper White that was embossed using the Stripes impressions embossing folder, a patterned piece Bash Blue for the lower panel, 3 petal print outs with mats, some Mellow Moss ribbon and rhinetones for that perfect touch.
