PAPER CAKE TRAIL

For my second post today I made a card using this weeks Friday Mash Up challenge. The world knows I could use a little more happiness in my life right now! I mounted some paper strips onto a brown patterned mat, then mounted that mat onto some yellow paper and adhered everything to a white cardstock base.  I embellished with a pretty yellow fabric flower, lace, ribbon and sentiment.   Thank you for stopping by! Today's card was inspired by the fabulous Friday Mashup challenge.  This weeks focus is Patterns. Here is what I made: Supplies used: Paper : A variety of patterns f rom my stash. Ink : Walnut Stain (Tim Holt z). Stamp Set : Fe eling Sentimental. Today's card was inspired by the beautiful inspiration photo over at The Friday MashUp. I began on a Bashful Blue cardstock base and inked the edges with Marina Mist.  With another piece of Bashful paper, I ran a snowflake embossing folder through my Big Shot and mounted it at an angle on the card face, then added a paper doily to the center of the card.  I die cut a triangle using Blue patterned paper for my tree, and affixed the tree at an angle on the right side of the card.  The star was punched out using Silver glitter paper and placed on top of the tree.  A short strip of textured Brown cardstock was added below the tree and a Silver brad was anchored through the center of the tree.  'Joy' was stamped using Blue ink onto a White tag and added across the bottom half of the card.  A Blue button was added on the bottom right corner of the tag.  A cut textured Blue banner   was stamped 'Christmas' using Blue ink, and attached ac...

 Good morning, here is another card for the Friday Mashup challenge.   For this challenge, I chose to mash it up with leaves an d a Thank You sentiment .   I began on Old Olive and adhered a Whisper White and Bravo Burgundy mat. To this I added some glittery leaves, pretty polka dot coordinating organza ribbon and an Old Olive button. So here is the  "Mashup"  Challenge: Make a project with  "Leaves " . Or Make a project saying  "Thank You " . Or  "Mash it Up"  and create a  "Thank You project with Leaves " .

I'm a little late in posting my card for the Friday Mashup.  I have been busy working, preparing, baking and freezing Christmas goodies. This card was inspired by the inspiration photo over at the Friday Mashup.   I choose to use the colours Daffodil Delight, Basic Grey & Basic Black.   I mounted a stamped mat onto a piece of basic grey cardstock.  To that I added a wedding sentiment,  ribbon and rhinestones. So here is the  "Mashup"  Challenge: Make a project with  "Dry Embossing " . Or Make a project using the colors  " Daffodil Delight, Basic Grey & Basic Black" .* Or  "Mash it Up"  and create a project with  "Dry Embossing & The Color Combo" .
