Just For You

Today's card is inspired by the pretty inspiration photo over at the shabby tea room .  I really love all the pretty colors that we get to work with.  I began with a printed Pink chevron cardstock base.  I then layered and border punched onto that a piece of geometric blue paper.  I faux stitched around the White panel, then adhered the Pink heart, yellow punch with sentiment and Yellow twine.  I finished this off with a beautiful White fabric flower. CR84FN53

Today's card was inspired by I card I cased from 'here' along with the cr84fncolorchallenge .  I love the pretty colors for this challenge.  My card began on a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock, not a colour I use often.  I then die cut a piece of aqua coloured chevron patterned paper, which has a tag die cut in Sahara Sand adhered to it.  The flowers were die cut with Pink felt and finished off with a pretty Pink rhinestone.  I used a roller stamp for the flowers with versamark, then used some smooches for the centers.  I punched out a few butterflies with some coordinating scraps, attached some clear rhinestones and voila! Thank you for stopping by! Alyson

Chevon

Today's card is inspired by the Embellish inspiration photo.  I love the look of chevron, so classy.  I began with a printed gray chevron base.  I then used the a stamp from the Kind & Caring Thoughts set, stamping it in Pink and Plum. You can't see it, but I have used some glitter on the petals.  Finally some pretty Green/Blue ribbon. Thank you for stopping by! Alyson

Mojo 238

The last 2 months have been a blur, between working full-time and doing courses.  Now that things have settled a bit, it sure is nice to escape into my crafting land to relax. Today's card is inspired by the Mojo Monday sketch along with the Color Throwdown !  I really love all the squares with this great sketch! I began with a piece of Certainly Celery cardstock for my base.  I punched 12 squares from Cottage Wall, retired, designer series paper, then adhered them to a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The paper flowers are from the Bigz L Fun Flowers die cut.  I used Pretty in Pink for the first layer, and Melon Mambo small polka dot patterned paper for the top layer.  The sentiment is from the Just Believe stamp set and is stamped in Always Artichoke onto some Whisper White.  For the final touch I stuck a cute little button and twine onto the tag and stuck in on to the paper flowers. A Few Things

Here are a few items that I added to my Etsy store today.   I thought they were cute and wanted to share. Thanks for stopping by!

MOJO Monday #237

This is my take on the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I began my creation on a piece of Certainly Celery cardstock.  The first layer is Whisper White with rounded edges and pink shading around all the edges.   I cut a panel from Certainly Celery and another layer with Whisper White. I once again rounded all the edges as well as pink shading.  The patterned paper is from the Recollections collection, the blue is random scraps and the lower border is also Recollections.  For the finishing touches I used a few Pink buttons and Pink rhinestones. Here is the Mojo 237 sketch: Thank you for stopping by! Alyson

A Little Something

This is my creation for the Create with Connie and Mary color challenge. I began my creation on a piece of White confetti cardstock.  I punched the White strip with a retired Stampin' wheel in Certainly Celery.  The top and bottom piece were punched out using Concord Crush.  The tag was stamped using the new 'Summer Smooches' stamp set in Certainly Celery, Marina Mist and Concord Crush.  I finished this card off with a cute little sentiment, ribbon and rhinestone. Here is the color challenge:   Thank you for stopping by! Alyson

Elements of Style

This is my entry for the Colour Throwdown #187 challenge. My creation came from a layout in the April Stampin' Success magazine.  I started on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The stamp is from the 'Elements of Style' stamp set.  I used So Saffron, Certainly Celery and Lavender Lace ink.  I punched the Purple paper panel with a scallop border punch , and the Lavener Lace butterfly was punch out with a Martha Stewart butterfly punch.  The seam binding was hand dyed by me, using Tim Holtz Lettuce ink. Here are the colors combos: Thank you for stopping by! Alyson

This is my entry for the Mojo Monday & The Ribbon Reel challenges. I began my creation on a piece of Whisper White cardstock, measuriny 5 1/2' x 4 1/4'.  Both pieces of designer paper are from 'the girls' paperie vintage whimsey' collection. I rounded the edges on both of these and sponged the edges lightly with some 'Antique Linen' ink by Tim Holtz.  My burlap piece comes from 'the funkie junkie' and the lace is from Stampin' Up!  I finished off with twine a button and a cute egg illustration matted onto some Bashful Blue cardstock.. Blommin Barrel

This is my entry for 2 challenges.  Colour Q & Freshly Made Sketches . I began my creation on a piece of Pink Pirouette cardstock, followed by some Cottage Wall green designer paper and some So Saffron patterned paper.  For the stamped image I used my markers in Pear Pizazz, Blushing Bride and So Saffron.  I finished it off with a So Saffron button, Kraft rustic twine and glitter. Blossom

This is my entry for the Mojo Monday sketch challenge. I began my creation on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The first layer is Early Espresso that has been embossed with large polka dots.  The second layer is a patterned piece from My Minds Eye along with a piece of Pretty in Pink along the edge.  The cherry blossom is from the 'Easter Blossom' set.  I used the tap technique shown in the April Stampin' Success magazine.  I stamped the image first with Pretty in Pink, followed by Red Rose and Chocolate Chip.  I finished this beauty off with a Rose color button and some Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon. Here is the sketch: To learn how I made the image on this card, watch this video tutorial: Thumping Technique See you again soon. Alyson
This is a set that we will be making at my 'It's Time for Spring' card class.  I chose two challenges for my creation.  The color combo from CR84FN Color Challenge and the sketch from Waltzingmouse Sketch Challenge . I began my creation on some Whisper White cardstock, then stamped these butterflies using my markers in Only Orange, Pretty in Pink and Bashful Blue.  You can hardly see in the photo, but I scorded 10 lines at the bottom and added some glitter. Here are the challenges: Please stop by again soon. Alyson

Spring Birthday

This is one of the cards that we will be creating at my next class.  I also chose this card for the 'Spring Themed' challenge over at Stampin' Royalty. I began my creation on a piece of Mellow Moss cardstock.  This has been retired for awhile now, but I bought tons of it, because I love this color so much.   The first layer is a patterned piece from Bo Bunny.  They have a great spring line out at the moment.  The second layer is a piece of polka dot textured Whisper White.  For this, I punched out the side, then stamped and placed a center piece with a Pink rhinestone.   I finished this card off, with a Regal Rose flower punch, a 'Happy Birthday' sentiment and a darling cupcake sticker.  Thank you for stopping by!
