Mixed Media Color Challenge and Paris

Hello friends.  Today I wanted to share a mixed media tag I made for a new challenge over at A Mixed Media Color Challenge.

I began my project on a large manilla envelope, which I painted with Gesso.  I then layered on some Decopage and placed some beautiful black and white Tim Holtz tissue paper onto the tag, and reapplied more Decopage.  Once dry,  I applied some semi transparent pink and white paint.

When the paint was dry I took some stamps and black stazon ink to create texture.  I also used some metallic ink (can't see to well in photos) and mesh to create another really pretty texture.  Its hard to see, but on the right side I used some moulding paste and stamped into it for more added texture.

I then stamped an Eiffel tower image onto some book paper using black stazon, cut and paste with Decopage, as well as with the 'Paris' word.

For the finishing touches I used my black sharpie, black paint and grey marker for some shading.  Oh, I can't forget the cute fiber ribbon too.

Thank you for stopping by!

Gold Star

This is my entry for the Mojo Monday challlenge.  This has been a very busy week, with working 2 jobs, weight training, and writing a final exam, I have had very little time to relax and craft.  I was unable to come up with my own idea and cased this card from Teresa Kline/Paperie Blooms .  Now that I am done my course I have a little more free time. Until next time.
