Dynamic Duos Monochromatic Challenge #13

Just stopping by really quick before heading off to work.  I'm on day 2 of a long stretch of 5 evenings with call.  It could go either way, I will just have to take it one day at a time. Today's card was inspired by the colour challenge over at Dynamic Duos along with a sketch from Mary Fish. I will be back soon with all the details!

Thinking of You

I found it a bit challenging to come up with a creation from the colour palatte over at Colour Q.   I did finally come up with a card that I am casing from the Stampin' Success July 2012 issue. Thank you for stopping by! Alyson

We're Looking forward to Fall Ya'll!

This card was inspired by the color challenge over at Sunday Stamps.   The layout was cased by a card Cathy Gray had done.  Sorry, I can't remember where I saw it.  I began on a piece of Soft Suede cardstock.  To this I layered some Very Vanilla with stamped images from the French Foliage stamp set.  To the So Saffron lattice I added leave die cuts in Real Red and Soft suede.  The ribbon and rhinestone were added as finishing touches. Today's card was inspired by the inspiration photo over at The Shabby Tea Room. I could sure use a craft space like this!  I began on a piece of White cardstock.  To this I added 2 different patterned paper panels and stitched the outer edge.  To the rubber stamped flower I added a shabby pink fabric flower and green leaves.  The ribbon, twine and sentiment add a nice finish to this happy card. Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge

Good day peeps.  My days are all messed up, I seem to think it's Saturday.  That's what happens when you do shift work.  Today's card was inspired by the colour challenge over at create with Connie and Mary.    I began on some Whisper White, then adhered some Pool Party patterned paper.  To this I machine stitched 3 panels in Old Olive, Cherry Cobbler and So Saffron patterned paper.  To finish it off I added a punched butterfly, Rustic twine, Yellow stick pin and Cherry button. Navy..Pink..Cream

Today has been hectic.  We are trying to sell our home and the constant cleaning and tidying for showings can be such a hassle.   I'm sure we have all experienced that.  I think in the end it's worth it! Today's card was made using the color challenge over at Our Creative Corner.  I began on some Navy cardstock.  I machine stitched 2 pieces of Belle Bleu.  To that I added a glassine bag, a stamped mat, and all kinds of embellishments. Thank you for stopping by! Alyson

'Elegance & Lace'

Today's card came from the inspiration photo over at The Shabby Tea Room. I mounted 3 panels of Tea Party Designer patterned paper on a piece of Crumb Cake, machine stitched them on, painted around the edges, and stamped a sentiment on the bottom right corner.  I then adhered some white lace and ribbon around the middle panel, along with a stick pin.  Finally, a White chiffon fabric flower and button were added. Challenge #32 Sweet Sparkles

Today's card was inspired by the inspiration photo over at  the ribbon reel challenge blogspot.   I mounted lined paper on a piece of Domestic Goddess Designer patterned paper, and stamped a French inspired image on the left upper corner in 'Bashful Blue'.  I then adhered a piece of Brown polka dot paper across the bottom of the panels and machine stitched around the edges with Brown thread.  I punched a floral border with Pink checker patterned paper and layered it down on the right side of the panel.   White organza ribbon is wrapped around the middle with a bow tied and a Pink button. 'From the Heart' is stamped in Brown ink,  punched out with an Oval scalloped punch and adhered with foam adhesive.   A piece of Green patterned paper was die cut as well as a heart from upcycled paper, and placed on the lower left side of the panel.  Finally, butterflies were added with sparkling Yellow rhinestones. Shabby Style Greeting Card Kit

Good day sweet peeps.  It has been so lovely out these past couple of days, I just LOVE it!  I've been playing it solo this weekend.  My hubby and daughter went up to northern Saskatchewan to take part in a wedding party.  I was unable to get the time off work, with it being summer and all.   Just wanted to share a card set that will be up in my Ebay store shortly.   Have a wonderful day!

Gold...Nude...Silver

Hi all, today's card is for a friend of mine who lost someone very special. I used the inspiration photo over here.  I began on a piece of So Saffron cardstock, with some soft Grey patterned paper.  I coloured the White fabric flower, added a button and adhered that to some patterned paper.  I matted these onto some basic Gray and finished it off with White organza ribbon. Friend Card

Hello and thank you for dropping by.  I'm still waiting for summer to arrive, with all the rain we've been having.  I just wanted to share a card I made and posted on my Etsy store.  Have a great day, and Happy 4th of July to our American neighbors.

Challenge #102 - A Theme Challenge "Christmas in July"

Today's card was inspired by this pretty card over here along with the Christmas in July theme here. I began on a White circle scallop cardstock base from my now closed local craft store.  I used Melissa Frances Christmas paper, along with some vellum.  The red glitter star, lace, ribbon, button and brad make this card extra special. Thank you for stopping by! Alyson

Freshly Made Sketches #41-A Sketch from Cindy

Today's card was inspired by the sketch over at the freshly made sketches blogspot. I began on a piece of White cardstock and, textured it using an embossing stylus and texture plate, then inked the front with some brown ink.  I mounted a patterned paper panel to the bottom and lace across the middle.  I trimmed some patterned paper, rounded the edges and adhered it above the lace.  I die cut a piece of patterned paper, cut it in half and slipped it behind the small patterned panel.  The butterflies were die cut using Red/White patterned paper, and finished off with a cute butterfly brad.
